Each episode is a quick-paced and entertaining look at one aspect of the artform with one carefully selected song selected as an example to dissect. And David Rackoff is no amateur. A great podcast for people interested in the craft of composing songs for musical theatre. The main theme of the podcast is to analyze one musical theatre song at a time in an episode on its own. Both lyrics and music get scrutinized but David Rackoff also looks closer at how well it fits in the show and what the function of the song is.
