I love mysteries and started listening. It turned out to be a RPG but don't let that stop you. It's a lot like listening to a mystery novel and boy does the unexpected happen. Very entertaining.

I just wanted to say, I'm so thankful to have another Hunter the Vigil podcast! Your groups dynamics is treat to listen to, and the trouble they have been getting into is hilarious. I really enjoyed the hell out of the near TPK that happened with the Spider Queen. Keep up the good work!

A fantastic podcast with an excellant cast of characters and a wonderfully plotted story with twist and turns in almost every episode. I suggest starting with the first episode so as to not get lost; but if you want to jump around a little, I would go with either the Best Game Every episode or The Plumber's Affections. Both are in the middle of story arcs but the first will have you laughing even if you don't know what's going on and the second has the chips hitting the fan as you see how advent... more

I've been listening to actual play podcasts for a few years now, but I just recently found the time to try this one (I normally listen to a back catalogue of episodes of shows so it takes awhile.) I'll be honest, there have only been one or two I would recomend to my friends since I started. SSM is the newest addition to that list. I love the show, the GM is incredible, the characters are deep, intriguing, and believable. 5 stars. Please keep this show going forever!

The game mechanics are not anything I am used to, but it is explained very well. The players interact well together and play their characters with compassion. It is almost like a bunch of my old friends. I really enjoy the steampunk setting. When the filler games are inserted I find that I enjoy them also.
