The series have a very interesting approach, Matt knows everything about Jean Michel, and guides him to share the essence and fundamentals of his particular approach on sound.
The dialogue flows between technical detail and musical inspiration, but in a very familiar and original way to link that into to Jarre’s repertoire, nurtured by anecdotes and personal insight.
Is refreshing knowing about other musicians and electronic sound pioneers through the view of JMJ.
Gives more depth to JMJ music when I re-listen to it. And great job on the new season of WWDITShadows!
Some great insight into Jarres world but far too short a series, most of us hardcore fans already know much of what is talked about in this podcast series so it would’ve been great to have had more episodes and gone deeper into Jarre as a person and his day to day life rather than talked about pretty much what he’s discussed over and over in the last few decades, hopefully most of the real man will be revealed in his much overdue biography he’s been working on
I really enjoy listening to Jean Michels insights of his productions and the ideas behind it. It’s always refreshing to hear the opinion of an outstanding artist and learn something about his mind set, the way he feels and his visions.
Berry is an excellent host and does a very good job.
Thank you for this podcast.
It is indeed very interesting to hear these interviews and I have a kind request. As you were talking about how the technology limits the way the albums get released with digital technology, I want those limits not to appear on the albums, I want the music to be played the way it is supposed to be, without quick ends in order to separate the tracks.
Now I buy all albums on vinyl, except for better sound, the media is more stabile than CD and of course for the artwork.
