I tune in to listen to the authors, not her. I just listened to the People Like Us episode and Mira regularly interrupts Jason Mott. It’s ridiculous and I found myself skipping her parts so I could actually listen to him.

I truly wish Mira would let the Authors answer her probing and enlightening questions and not answer them herself. I wish Mira would use her words: is “ Hello?” really a comment? I wish Mira would let the Authors finish their sentences so we can learn more about them and less about her. Can Poured Over grant my 3 wishes?

Overall, this is a gem of a podcast…but it depends on who is hosting. While Miwa Messer seems absolutely brilliant concerning writing, publishing, etc., she’s not a great interviewer and this impacts the quality of the show. Messer tends to turn the focus to herself, and often times talks more than the guest. I still listen, but usually choose episodes for which she isn’t hosting.
