Q: So, to get us started, why don't you talk a little bit about your background, where you grew up, how you got into running, why you decided to go to the Air Force Academy and get into flying and so on?
Todd grew up in rural Missouri, developed an interest in aviation at a young age, and focused on joining the Air Force Academy where he could realize his dream of becoming a pilot. His background in distance running helped him gain admission to the Academy, as athletic performance was an important factor in the rigorous application process.
