  • Amazing audio drama! Love it so far!

Ok, maybe it’s because I am Canadian, but absolutely love this narrated audio drama. I am an avid listener to audio drama. Love the concept and the voice of the narrator. Well written, tight production. Excellent overall.

  • Interesting apocalyptic podcast

Love that the show is slow burning through the actual occurring of the apocalypse. It’s interesting and eerie. The reason for the 3 stars is that the main character doesn’t make sense. She’s a doctor but doesn’t recognize the smell of blood, is shocked by folks being concerned about how the agent of the apocalypse can be transmitted, etc. I have yet to see how her being a doctor has anything to do with her character outside of her access to her old place of work and co-workers. It takes me out o... more

  • Meh

Honestly, I found it hard to follow without any real apocalyptic thought. It felt like situations jumped around and I was left with many more questions than answers. It was very slow paced as well.

  • Sleeper giant

Don’t pass on this, it’s one to bask in . The writing, by the end of series three, is something to savour. I liked the shifting narrative, from recording to found recording and live narrative to broadcast to… series fours?!

The unreliable mental state of Sarah makes for a great plot hook. Enjoy.

  • Could be good

It’s not convincing enough as there is so much padding, for ex describing what a door peep hole is?? !! No tension as she seems just to be oblivious to the apocalypse re tone of her voice, hopefully it will pick up, I’ll stick with it for a bit more

  • Good fodder to listen to

All around the podcast was ok. I enjoyed some parts but found the beginning a bit boring with some parts better off not being included. The protagonist is insanely dumb and it shows during some parts.

  • I wanted to love it.

When you get to be my age anyone under 30 feels like they’re a child. Lots of older people can’t help but feel this way simply because from our view point there are so, so many years (feels like miles) from me to anyone that young. So much has happened in my life so all those years look so long and far away.

This was a very nice podcast. And I imagine many young people might have loved it. I couldn’t get through it. I felt like I was listening to a story about people who are about 16-20ish. No... more

  • Zombies are popular. There's no getting around this. That being said there is something distinctly peaceful about the delivery of this story, being told from a frazzled doctors perspective recounting the events that lead her to the apocalypse. I will admit I have only listened to one episode but will absolutely be enjoying more soon!

  • The storytelling, sound design, tone, and pacing completely made me forget I abhor apocalypse stories. That being said, once I remembered, I simply didn't care. It's good to know what you don't like, but it's even better to find the exceptions to the rule who prove that your bias towards or against a particular type of story, might just be ridiculously wrong. Great anthology, and well worth your attention.

  • I'm a huge fan of zombie/zombie-like apocalypses and an introvert, so I love how isolated the main character is from everything so there's more of an observation than a panicked struggle for survival.

  • I listen to many audio dramas especially horror/mystery. Smashed thru this. Really enjoyed it. Less is more. But it gives enough to be interesting, mysterious, entertaining and funny.
