Talking Points

Heidegger in Ruins: Philosophy, Fascism, and the Politics of Being
Q: So for listeners that are unfamiliar with this debate, may be unfamiliar with Heidegger more broadly, can you kind of explain what's at stake in this argument and why Heidegger's political allegiance matters for understanding 20th century philosophy as a whole?
For a long time, it's been known that Heidegger was an enthusiastic member of the Nazi Party beginning in 1933...so it's taken a while for...those pieces of the puzzle to fit together...
On Fatherhood: Parenting and Marriage in an Era of Uncertainty
Q: How do you address concerns of bringing kids into this world given the political and environmental climate?
Ultimately, if you desire to have kids, do it. Historically, there's always been reasons not to have children, but the desire to create life remains the only consistent reason for doing so.
On Fatherhood: Parenting and Marriage in an Era of Uncertainty

I encourage them to challenge me and articulate their own beliefs. I model thoughtfulness, allowing them to navigate their thoughts without imposition, ensuring they understand that their feelings and thoughts are valid.
Eric Mann on Revolutionary Struggle: The Weather Underground, the Long 1960s, and the Fight for Liberation Today (Part 1)
Q: Can you talk about the organization as a whole, the various struggles and factions within it?
Eric describes his involvement with SDS and discusses the various factions and struggles within the organization.
Eric Mann on Revolutionary Struggle: The Weather Underground, the Long 1960s, and the Fight for Liberation Today (Part 1)
Q: How did being trained in the black community and the black movement shape and inform your political outlook to this day?
