  • Consistently the best!

I have been listening to RHLSTP since it first started - 18 years ago or so? Best interview podcast still to this day I find! 🔥 Love the whole team that has since joined Richard: Left Bollock, Ally and the mostly inaudible Woolfy the dog on all the other podcasts. And of course the Book Club!

  • This is what he does best. I also like his honesty, such as the Sadia Azmat interview, where she's woefully uninformed, and he manages to politely and firmly push back, while keeping the conversation going.

Less interested in interviews with old boys, Bernie Clifton was a real snooze.

RHLSTP Book Club 167 - Jess Robinson
Q: How did the process of getting your book published go?
I had pitched it several times as different formats before my agent suggested writing a book proposal, which Harper Collins accepted within weeks.
RHLSTP Book Club 167 - Jess Robinson
Q: Can you tell us about your book and how you described it?
It's called Life is Rosi, and I described it as Anne Frank meets Bridget Jones, detailing my grandma's experiences alongside mine.
Retro RHLSTP 128 - Mathew Baynton and Jim Howick
Q: Have you ever seen a ghost?
No, we don't believe in them.
Christmas AMA 6
Q: When you interact with the audience, what are you hoping they'll give you?
Straightforward compliance, a bit of fun back, or just an honest answer. You want honesty rather than trying to be funny.
Christmas AMA 6
Q: If Coca-Cola hadn't hijacked St Nick for their Christmas marketing, what would we be dealing with now?
Santa Claus would still be here without the Coca-Cola megalith. He's based on St Nicholas, who looked after elves and was in charge of giving presents to children.
