This is what he does best. I also like his honesty, such as the Sadia Azmat interview, where she's woefully uninformed, and he manages to politely and firmly push back, while keeping the conversation going.
Less interested in interviews with old boys, Bernie Clifton was a real snooze.

I’ve been listening for years and no one can interview like Richard Hearing. No topic is forbidden. Bob Mortimer and Greg Davies have great interviews in the archives as well.
Saw him on his tour and on a livelive podcast; The best way to dive in.

I used to love this podcast. I've listened to it for years...but over the last few years it's become less and less about the guests and more Richard relating everything to himself, talking over the guest to...yes you guessed it, talk about himself. Once noticed it grinds very quickly. I'm out.
