  • As Mid As It Gets

Roy Smalley actually watches the team and has insight; I enjoy when he breaks down players. Jim Souhan and LaVelle Neal III seem like fine gentlemen who used to pay attention but now just check in and as a result are not informed or perceptive about modern baseball. For being former beat writers they bring very little information to the table compared to other Twins podcasts.

  • Should’ve waited to do this weeks episode!

It appears that you recorded the episode before the news that the franchise is up for sale. Second episode discussing that possible?

  • Par for the course

How can you not have an episode on the night the Twins break their epic playoff losing streak? Solid analysts but beholden to the almighty dollar. Guess you couldn’t get enough sponsors in

Roy was in the book!
Q: What should Derek Shelton and this staff do differently than Rocco Baldelli?
The new manager should impose his personality in the clubhouse and focus on player performance, ensuring consistent coaching and expectations.
Pablo, Festa, Twins' hitting
Q: Do you think they could or would trade for a starting pitcher midsummer?
LaVelle suggested they need a bat more than a pitcher and mentioned they have depth in their pitching staff.
Twins' streak, Buck & LaTroy
Q: What do you tell the frustrated Twins fan who doesn't want to believe this team can be competitive at this point?
The Twins have solid pitching, which makes it easier for the team to turn things around and be competitive as the offense picks up.
1st Talk North Sports Report
Q: What do you think about the current team and expectations?
The team might struggle without solid leadership that comes with experience, especially with the challenges presented by McCarthy's inexperience.
1st Talk North Sports Report
Q: What would be the motivation today for him to make this a continued storyline?
It seems like there's a lack of trust in JJ McCarthy's readiness as a franchise quarterback, which might be reflected in the discussions about potentially bringing in Rodgers.
