I really liked this at first, and the host is easy to listen to compared to some of the others out there. But I agree, there’s a lot of mumbo jumbo. Will harp on about western world events, then talk about a Japanese serial killer… will spend 20 mins talking about a 1970s divorce study as though that really matters to the modern world anymore. After awhile it gets old. Keep things relevant to the time and context, rather than time filling
I find Elissa's high-pitched voice to be grating, and I've realized that I'm more annoyed than interested throughout each episode.
She has a certain inflection, and uses particular phrasing, that make her sound like she's speaking to children in primary school.

Great podcast, but I often have trouble listening to past episodes because they aren’t available? Like the zodiac killer I can’t listen to because it not available. If this could be fixed it’d be an easy 5 stars.
Update hope you’re okay noticed you haven’t posted since October. I’ll be praying for you
She has a tendency to throw her own opinions and biases about Politics, Religion into none story related topics. she does seem to do her research into topics, but presents the information in a rather slow boring way.
