I miss this podcast
Recently I moved into a new property with a south facing garden. I had noticed the soil was quite heavy with clay, and thought it could cause problems later when I started considering drainage.
I have already begun work, mixing in some loose gravel to aid drainage, as well as bedding compost (Miracle Grow) and potash.
I have tested the Ph of the soil and it does seem to be quite alkaline, causing low nutrients levels.
Would you advise planting alpine perennials such as Saponaria Ocymoides, As... more
I don’t even play heresy, I just come here for the food reviews.
I just binge listened season 1. Cracking stuff. Part filth, part fluff, part fighting with futuristic plastic warriors, this is my favorite warhammer podcast and I don’t even play 30k (though I now have strong views on event best practice, list creation, salty blades and narrative forging, not to mention eggy bread, devastated toilets and pepper mills).
I very much enjoy listening to this podcasting team. Their enthusiasm for and knowledge of the hobby is quite strong. They are truly witty and very entertaining. Will be 5 star rating from me when they drop the political commentary. Too much of that on the news every night and not needed on an otherwise outstanding 30k podcast. I would rate them as 3rd best behind Eye of Horus and Radio Free Issvan from a hobby knowledge and thought leadership standpoint. Keep up the good work.

Thoughtful, insightful and no swearing, Greg and Neil have put together an excellent podcast...... oh wait, this is the other one..... lewd, crude and alcohol fuelled, this is one of the best Heresy podcasts around, just wish there were more.
Anything else from you Neil?
“No, I don’t think so’
Ahhhhh the Sons Of Heresy, I await the relese of season two as if i was an anxious millennial anticipating the the next season of popular show on Netflix. You Guys really hit the tip of the nail with your content; so much so that after listening to your two most recent episodes I backtracted and started from the beinging. Let me tell you though, it's not all fun and games here, trying to paint the cornea of my sergeant while foreskin is thrown around like baseballs is sirious business, and hard ... more
The Sons of Heresy is a unique listening experience focused on the community aspect of the Warhammer 30k hobby.
Each episode offers a high-quality and magnificent blend of down-to-earth discussion and wild geek references - frequently interrupted by bouts of highly questionable humour and wild tangents.
If you want some choice coverage of the 30k hobby - if you want to laugh out loud to the point where you can no longer paint properly - and if you want to feel like you're just down on the pub h... more
In the beginning there was The Overlords - a 40k podcast featuring 3 great personalities. For some reason Inquisitor Steve wanted his podcast back, after which he turned it into a pile of crap.
It's not all bad news though. 2 of those personalities have started Sons of Heresy - which just happens to be the best 30k podcast around.
They're knowledgable, funny and easy to listen to. Their coverage of various gaming events in season 1 was unexpectedly interesting (who'd have thought eggy bread w... more
Coming off a great season one focusing on event coverage. Can't wait to see what the next season brings.
That is all.
I just hope you're as eager and ready for some aural domination as I am! These guys really know how to hit the spot!
Dear Sons of Heresy,
I just finished listening to your episode "Raiders of a new London Heresy" and I wanted to tell you I really enjoyed it. As an Iron Warriors player, I can tell you that the Iron Circle battle automata are definitely loyal - to Perturabo. While they are programmed to be exclusively loyal to him, they were never loyalist i.e. fighting for the imperium. If my memory is correct they were introduced after the battle of Phall, where Imperial Fists led by Alexis Pollux teleported ... more
Recently caught up with season 1 of this awesome podcast. Very funny, great lads!
Brendan is really the glue that holds this team together. Without Brendan I don't know what this podcast would be like. His insight, wit and dashing good looks make this one of the best heresy era podcasts to listen to. The bald one and the yank also appear ;)
p.s. everyone knows the best bread for eggy bread is sainsburys multi seed loaf from the bakery counter....nearly knocked a star off for this glaring oversight.......
