今回は、充実した一年間の活動を振り返りしていきます。
ロータリークラブの会長職に加え、巫女さんのダンスユニットを支援し、その活動範囲を広げる一方で、神社の本来の運営は物価高や建築不況といった経済的な課題に直面しました。
しかし現状維持を良しとせず、「変化」（変）をキーワードに挑戦し続けることの大切さをお話していきます。

この時期の宮司としての最大のミッションは「清めること」としての掃除。
特に落葉掃除や、普段手が届かない屋根や天井の煤払いを、自作の本格的な竹ぼうきで行います。掃除をすることで細部に目が届き、小さな問題のうちに直すことができるんです。
さらに、年末の広報対応や打ち合わせを前倒しで行うことで、慌ただしさによるミスを防ぐ「先手必勝」の仕事術を披露します。

年末、神社は正月の賑わいに向けてテント設営や縁起物（お守り）の準備に追われます。
12月に入ると皆さんのご家庭に配布するお札さんを配布していきます。配布時に間違いがないよう細心の注意を払う、多忙を極める神職の姿や、年末に事故がないよう願う気持ちが垣間見える、貴重な準備の裏側を語ります。
