OK it’s only a story but... it’s dreadful the way villagers in Ambridge are treating George, who after all, has paid the price for his mistakes - and let’s not forget, on that night when he acted in panic, starting a chain of wrong decisions, he had been trying to help Alice, whose destructive behaviour was really the catalyst to this storyline. Will none of them remember that?
