While winning millions in social security benefits for clients, Conn cruised around one of the nation’s poorest counties in a Rolls-Royce, traveled the world, opened a brothel, intimidated his r... more

This podcast stinks - it is plainly an attempt to direct people to watch their documentary series. As a result, they seem to make no effort to make the podcast narratively interesting on its own. It jumps around seemingly at random to the point where the listener has no idea how they got to a given plot point at moments. They take relatively ordinary realizations among characters and make them out to be revelatory.
They also constantly reference their documentary series in the podcast, as if i... more
Someone rated this a 1 out of 5. Probably somebody impacted by podcast, or knows someone who was?
This was a very well-written and presented podcast. With pods like these, it makes me feel we are living in the golden age of podcasts.
And then that makes me sad, because that means some day we won’t be in the golden age. Remember the golden age of flighy? And now we are stuck together like sardines, treated like garbage. So our current state of podcasts, just like every other human endeavour, w... more
The stories of the people affected were tragic only only serves to highlight that the blatant disregard for human life all for the sack of making money. The pod cast was put together really well and aimed at getting a look at everyone who was involved.
This team did a wonderful job on the podcast. Compelling and informative - I binged all episodes. Looking forward to more from them!
Tragic the way he didn’t care at all about the individuals.
I haven’t had time to watch the doc series yet, so I decided to listen to this first. I wanted to watch the doc before listening to this, but this makes me want to watch it even more! This podcast does a great job of being a standalone, but I can’t wait to re-listen to it as a companion to the doc! Great work!
Absolutely worth listening to from beginning to end. Prepare to be infuriated.
If you watched the show on Apple TV+ you have seen and heard enough. Podcast does not add value.
These guys know how to tell a story!!! When I learned this was the same team that brought us the “McMillions” Documentary I had to check it out! They did not disappoint! I watched all 4 episodes of this documentary in one sitting, it was such an interesting story and they brought the same humor (where they could while not making light of the serious desperation the victims of Eric C. Conn are feeling) definitely worth listening to, and I suggest watching the documentary prior or at the same time... more
This was great! Kept my attention it was funny and of
Course it was great! He always does some good stuff Wooooo weeeee
Eric Conn figured out how to abuse the system and make a mockery of the few safety nets the United States provides. It makes me furious (in between finding hilarity) that this was possible and was allowed to continue for so long. What makes me even more furious is the aftermath for Conn’s victims. Things need to change in this country.
You start off thinking Conn is a horror, but no! It’s our own government! Shocker! 🙄 Social Security Administration is the horror, yet they walk away totally unscathed. Eric C Conn got screwed!
I loved the documentary and pod cast. Excellent work!
I like poop
I watched all of the show already then I found the podcast. Episode 1 of the podcast provides succinct background information about SSA, why there was a backlog of cases, and the friendship between the two whistleblowers. It also explains that SSA was beginning the process of switching from paper folders to a new electronic system.
Please just release all episodes of the podcast now so people can listen first and then watch the TV show. And listen and watch together.
