We play Final Fantasy X from the beginning to just before boarding the ship to leave Besaid. Along the way, we discuss behind-the-scenes production information, how FFX responds to 8 and 9, and the welcome return of untimed turn-based battles.
We catch up on a bunch of emails, mostly focused on Zelda but also a few Final Fantasy ones later in the episode. Some topics we discuss include a correction about Nabooru’s role in Ocarina of Time, the logistics of the Triforce in Breath of the Wild... more
We discuss the 2001 film Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within, Hironobu Sakaguchi’s big bet on photorealistic animation. The bet failed and permanently stained his career, but the movie is actually a fascinating summation of his vision of Final Fantasy.... more
Ahead of our full discussions on Age of Imprisonment and Crystal actually playing the game, Monica and Cameron discuss their initial impressions!

I feel like Cameron is a little too tough on Monica. Just my 2 cents.
Best takes, best conversations and best camaraderie between hosts of any show like it! These three really know how to get into the weeds and still have a good time! Their timelines will shock you (but only because they’re correct)
I have always loved Zelda and never cared about Final Fantasy but after listening to them discuss FF I quickly downloaded FF 1-6! The Metroid episodes are also excellent.
Do yourself a favor and LISTEN!!
Zelda Joke:
What is the Korok’s liquor of choice?
Makar’s M... more
I love listening to y’all talk about video games and I always love seeing when a new episode appears. Full stop.
But hey do you want to hear a Zelda joke? What does Ganondorf like to order for takeout?
GerUdon noodles!
First off, great podcast, if you like Zelda or Final Fantasy, I would recommend nothing more, a personal favorite.
But also sometimes they talk about topics in a way I never thought about, and the podcast can get real in a way that makes me revaluate my stance on certain topics
The show accidentally improved my ethics, 10/10 would recommend
This podcast has fundamentally changed the way I approach playing video games and the Legend of Zelda series in general. I can say with no uncertainty that this is my favorite podcast and I’m constantly listening to old episodes again and again. Highly recommended, would give 10 stars if I could.
