  • Why does this exist?

Tehran is insufferable and what keeps happening to the panel?

  • Yikes

The misogyny of the male host is unparalleled. The female hosts were great though.

  • Episode 1 of season 3??

Did you not make an episode reviewing episode one of this season? I’m going through them all, one by one, and that one’s missing down the line!

  • Waste of time

I made it through 1 and 1/2 of this podcast and won't listen to any more. The hosts know less about the Royal Family than I do, and that's a low bar right there. And the male host kept saying how much he hates Prince Philip, absolutely HATES him, which shows to me he has completely missed all the nuances and complexities in the character and in the relationship between Philip and Elizabeth. There must be better podcasts out there devoted to this outstanding series.

  • Love it!

This is a hip podcast about the Crown that I love. It’s not boring & it’s everything that I was thinking too. It illuminates the subtle drama of the Crown. I’m also going to side eye some of the comments here because the undertones to me are apparent. It shows exactly why we don’t invite some you all to the cookout.

  • Tehran is Annoying

First, it appears that there is no more AfterBuzz TV. True?

Anyway, I am late to The Crown. And this is the only podcast for the first two seasons I could find. It was good for follow up, but Tehran’s know-it-all, bulldozing attitude should’ve gotten him asked to leave. As soon as there’s another pod to listen to, I won’t go through this agony. I listen to A LOT of AfterBuzz pods, and never have they made me so uncomfortable.

  • Disappointing ...

I would post Zero stars if I could. Loud. Unserious. Like someone mentioned, it sounds like a morning show with a trio of raucous uninformed hosts. It’s too bad because there’s a real dearth of podcasts about The Crown.

  • Mansplaining and misinformation

I love podcasts and The Crown and have never been compelled to write a review before.

Between obnoxious Tehran and the complete lack of information by all of the hosts (or even attempt to do their homework), this podcast is an incredible disappointment.

I was hoping for insights, but after listening to two episodes, it became apparent that any insights provided were either wrong or adolescent.

Skip this one if you have any level of interest or understanding of The Crown, the British Royal... more

  • Male host is the worst

I agree with many of the comments critical of the male speaker in this podcast. I couldn’t handle 20 minutes of his hot air and I’m done.

  • Too much mansplaining

The two women in this podcast have great things to say and this podcast could be worlds greater without the male host continually talking over them. Bummer.

  • Not much substance or knowledge

One of the hosts is negative and unpleasant, the other is a competent broadcaster but neither seems to have any special knowledge or insight into this show that you can’t get from just watching it. The woman host would be pleasant to listen to if all you wanted was a recap without much if any analysis.

  • Infuriating

Really wanted to get into this podcast. The mansplaining and talking over the other hosts (while being wrong in an easily google-able way) made it impossible. I couldn’t even get through an episode despite trying twice.

  • Too much shouting

This is too much like loud morning radio. It’s jolting, not relaxing. Does the typical viewer of the Crown want to be yelled at? This is just a weird mismatch with the show they discuss.

  • Ummm No

Lost me about five minutes into the first episode when the male host got basic historical facts completely wrong.

  • Tehran is a Mansplainer

I enjoy this podcast and I’m fine with listening to them talk about the royals and the crown but Tehran is SO mansplainy it’s painful to listen to at times. I feel like he’s one of those guys who considers himself a feminist but as he explains why he’s a feminist he shouts over all the women who are objecting. Examine yourself man. Tsahai you go girl.
