Being a late boomer, every week when I hear Nick and Paul on this podcast, I am reminded of that 1976 Thin Lizzy classic - The Boys Are Back In Town - "Guess who just got back today
Them wild-eyed boys that had been away". Back this week with some more classic takes, great analysis, and a dose of humour. The perfect podcast 😊
I have listened to Nick for a number of years now and really enjoyed his podcasts. I do find Paul Cox a bit annoying as he goes on and on and has a habit of going off topic. More Nick less Paul please.
Normally love mix of banter and down-to-earth commentary, but the political pontifications of so-called 'academic' agent are increasingly cringeworthy and going dark places: constant reference to 'that nation' supposedly controlling all world affairs but no guts to state his age-old conspiracy theory in plain terms. Academic agent should stick to English Literature while Nick sticks to the usually sound mix of reaction and humour.
Psalms, Bible readings, musings - more of the good Father. A good man is Cox, on a journey so he is - perhaps he could ask Nick more questions than go on normie rants. I respect Nick’s intellectual fortitude and bravery. More impressions wouldn’t go amiss. Nick is genuinely talented and funny.
Nick Dixon is a deep thinker and a funny guy. His insights are entertaining and thought provoking and he makes it very clear how his opinions are formed, making him very accessible and interesting, leaving plenty of room for disagreement. Paul Cox is a total normie whose conclusions were reached 20+ years ago by ‘awake’ folk. Best example: he’s always at pains to show he’s not racist even though no sane person would think he is.
