Still amazed that this awesome podcast is not more widely well know especially by people in our industry. Invaluable for those working in the film & tv. Informative, funny and with a diverse range of interviewees too. It makes such a huge difference when the interviewer is immersed in the industry and it’s fascinating history as much as the guests. Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Hamnet with Chloé Zhao and Barry Jenkins (Ep. 586)
Q: Talk to me about building a relationship and then building this visual language with the cinematographer.
It's a collaborative process that needs trust, and it often starts with a dialogue on artistic vision before allowing the cinematographer to interpret that.
Hamnet with Chloé Zhao and Barry Jenkins (Ep. 586)
Q: What was it that grabbed you, that made you want to make this film?
The story of love, loss, and the connection to Shakespeare's family drew me in deeply, pushing me further on my personal journey of exploration and creativity.
Hedda with Nia DaCosta and Daniel Scheinert (Ep. 581)
Q: What was it like to make two movies with Tessa Thompson spread out?
She's grown so much as an actress, and now we have a deeper friendship as well as a professional relationship, making it a unique and enriching experience.
Hedda with Nia DaCosta and Daniel Scheinert (Ep. 581)
Q: Can you talk a bit about the play and your relationship to it?
I went to a film school at NYU and got a master's because I wanted to do more writing specifically and learn how to work with actors. I read Hedda Gabler and found it fascinating that this play had such a complex female character.
Stiller & Meara: Nothing is Lost with Ben Stiller and Ethan Hawke (Ep. 583)
Q: Did you set out to make a movie about family?
No, I honestly wasn't thinking about that initially; I wanted to honor my parents after my father's passing.
