Grief is such a hard part of life. Your experience with a sister in addiction is so important- thank you both for sharing your story and wisdom.
Amy Lindsey adopts the role of a medical doctor even though she isn’t. She has never attended medical school. Instead, she is a naturopath—an alternative medicine practitioner. Although she occasionally refers to evidence-based, or traditionally ‘scientific’ medicine, she largely supports diagnoses and treatments that have no factual merit. She should not be portraying herself as a medical doctor and misleading listeners of this podcast, especially in times like this.
Thank You! I was so excited when I moved to West Seattle and learned that I’m in your hood. Over the past couple years a battle of over 24 years has finally been coming to light ... with that brings the need for all the support one can get. Thank you for providing this, and I will pass on to the fellow survivors I’m battling with ❤️
I’ve been a long time listener of KEXP and John and I generally enjoy him and he really does great things but sometimes he can be a little too much for me. I almost completely abandoned this is the first ten minutes but wanted to listen to the interview and the non interview parts feel like a we’re cooler/better than you. The do a great interview though and made it worth it. I think if it is a guest I like I’ll listen
It’s not just the conversations that are enlightening, funny and often moving - I’ve cried - the song selections played during the breaks are must adds to your playlists. I’ve long been a fan of DJ John Richards from KEXP radio and it’s no surprise Dr. Amy Lindsey is his better half 😊.
