But this isn't your typical running podcast– we'll talk about running (of course), but also discuss a wide range of topics, from pop culture to pigeons (not real) to picking up trash here in Baltimore. As a trail-forward runner, I’m enjoying the Dirt Division episodes - good content and great guests. What would make it even better would be if Taylor stopped interrupting so much. When he kept interrupting his co-host, I figured they were having technical issues, but when he interrupted Sophia Laukli during pretty much every answer, I got frustrated because I wanted to hear what she had to say.
Love The Drop podcast but the new hosts from The Dirt Division, specifically Taylor, needs to stop interrupting his co-host while she speaks. It’s hard to listen when he’s constantly doing this. Let her speak and let her finish her sentences!
I love this podcast (the Friday episode, I rarely listen to the Monday edition). It’s been a constant companion during my long run for the last few years but of late it feels a bit like a lifeless travelogue. I’m happy that their brand has really taken off and they get to travel to the world’s best running events, but it doesn’t necessarily make for an entertaining podcast. I actually switched to another podcast today after their fancy hotdog conversation started dragging just a bit too long.... more
Comparing unregulated ephedra/ephedrine-containing supplements to an FDA-approved (current bonkers state of the FDA notwithstanding) drug like ozempic is totally insane and irresponsible. I used to enjoy this podcast but this is just the latest in a long series of totally uninformed takes on all things medical and it’s just too much. Y’all need to stay in your lane.
The Ben Gibbard interview was really bad. Thomas really needs to learn how to interview respectfully and stop interrupting. Also the negative comments about elites dropping out of Western States was pretty cringey. You got a ride to the escapement…
