  • My last straw

This is my last straw. Mongrel breeders are not breeders. They are profit making puppy makers being enabled by things like this. It is an insult to the dedication of preservation breeders. I am over your inane interviews. In addition, the woman who is the moderator is really poor at her job.

It seems the business side of things and quest for mass appeal and customers has become more important than actually following through with promoting only goo... more

A Backstage Pass to Freezing Semen + Postmortem Sperm Rescue
Q: Is it worth breeders trying to use a different extender if they're not seeing the desired results?
If a dog shows exceptional results one time and poor results another, it may be worth trying a different extender to see if there are improvements.
A Backstage Pass to Freezing Semen + Postmortem Sperm Rescue
Q: Is it typical to see motility percentages drop so drastically upon thawing?
Yes, it's common for motility percentages to drop significantly upon thawing, generally from where they started after freezing.
Breeders' Roundtable Q&A
Q: Are there hormone tests that the three of you would recommend that breeders should consider monitoring throughout a dog's pregnancy?
No, if everything is normal otherwise, there is no reason for monitoring hormone levels throughout a normal pregnancy.
Breeders' Roundtable Q&A
Q: Do we know what causes low progesterone during pregnancy?
Typically, it's related to an inflammatory event within the body causing the CL that produces progesterone to die.
