I typically don’t do true crime because I don’t want the blood or the gore in my head. So I was pretty hesitant when I stumbled on this podcast. I’m SO glad I took the plunge to listen. 5 minutes into the first episode - I was hooked. I haven’t been able to put it down and it’s been *amazing*! The depth of the story telling, the respectful way the stories are conveyed, and Mary Kay’s asides - all come together to make something truly special and timeless. I’ve told literally anyone who’d stand s... more
Thought I was listening to true crime, but instead the host yammers on about how she's a garbage mother. I feel sorry for your child
You are a fantastic story teller! I love your delivery! You tell it straight without being too creepy or vulgar. Please continue; I also love your research. 5 stars ✨
I’ve enjoyed the true crime stories. They don’t have the detail that some others do, but our entertaining nonetheless. I also liked that the host stands up for women who are often the victims of these crimes.
Could be a good podcast but Mary Kay feels the need to inject her personal opinions into every episode. Even when I agree with her (rare) I still don’t listen to this kind of podcast for her side notes. I’ll find someone who sticks to content.
