  • informative interviews, other stuff is boring

The interviews and discussions with experts are always great.

But the host talks way too quiet/soft and somewhat slow - just ends up being boring. The endless introductions are often just laudatory, which is really unnecessary when you're talking about the classics of literature. Just focus on what you do well and cut the fluff.

  • GREAT Episode

I particularly loved your Episode 750 on A Farewell to Arms. It has long been a favorite of mine, first reading it in high school in the 60’s. Your discussion was really excellent and made the book come alive again. I have read it at least twice since, but I remember when I first read it, I bought a huge poster of Hemingway and hung it over my bed. I guess I was hooked. Thanks for featuring A Farewell to Arms & thanks for all the episodes over the years!

  • I feel as though I am part of the discussion!

It is high time to revisit these subjects of literature. Thank you for the kindly and lively discourse on the greats. So many of them were read under a deadline during school years. Nuances were passed over when read at a quick pace. I am now ready to seriously listen and enrich my mind with this wonderful content. I am a published poet and with this podcast, I can immerse myself in your hundreds of episodes and fill in some serious gaps in my education. I found the show on France vs. England to... more
