I love listening to these personalities talk about everything college basketball. However, there’s a ton of inconsistency with the microphones. Sometimes it’s Titus and other times it’s Tate. Would love more clarity on those.
Just no shame breaking up the handful of moments the host is actually on a roll as a solo podcaster with ad break after ad break.
May as well read the transcript as often as I need my phone in hand to skip through the countless ad breaks.
Barstool podcasts have all gone to this model, and it’s a nauseatingly bad model for the listener (but they’ll quadruple down as they need the ads to pay their bloated staff pool of useless “entertainers” outside of the podcast realm)
Mark has found an ideal landing spot at Barstool and it’s a joy to see him thrive there. He is the most fun source for college basketball content anywhere and his passion for the lore and tradition of the sport is infectious. Ohio’s Tate, however, is grating and obnoxious. Extremely arrogant, constantly interrupting, and just generally a guy who knows less about college basketball than 90% of the show’s listeners. Made it half way through this most recent episode before remembering why I unsubscribed a while back. That ‘chickenhead’ ad break is still the most annoying thing on any podcast I can think of. Solid content, but will not listen again due to that.
Titus isn’t good without someone like Tate. Sad!
