  • Everything You Could Ask For

Very entertaining and well delivered, it’s criminal that this podcast hasn’t received the fame it deserves! Caters for both casual listeners and science enthusiasts, and I always leave with a greater knowledge and appreciation about it. Keep it up!

  • Best. Podcast. Ever.

This is one of the first podcasts I ever tried and the one that keeps me trying more podcasts. Scott’s enthusiasm for the poisons, venoms, and toxins makes him a pleasure to listen to. I don’t under stand the second tier of higher science, but it’s still fun to listen to and I end up learning a lot of stuff.

And the Black Mamba episode was fun for additional trivia information watching the new Jumanji movie. 😂

  • Great Science Podcast - Compelling Info

You don't have to be a biologist to appreciate this podcast. Scott Barnett does an amazing job of explaining how poisons, toxins, and venoms (the real stuff, not the woo versions of these words bandied about) can harm you.

    Highly recommend.

  • Scott, you are great

This podcast is outstanding. It is well put together, the sound quality is outstanding, the science is explained in perfect detail, and it's pretty funny sometimes too.

What more can you ask for?

Scott you have a gift when it comes to explaining science. I'm not sure if you have an end goal of teaching, but you are very good at it, keep teaching here at least because I appreciate the knowledge.

  • Great! I just wish it was still going!

For those of use who like to geek-out about venomous snakes, biology, chemistry, poisonous substances in nature, etc. I can only assume the author has finished his studies in molecular bio and has gone on to a successful career, which probably leaves him no time for "poisoncasting." I miss the podcast though. Good work!

  • Really cool show, superb production!

Mr. Barnett does a great job inviting everyone into the world of toxins and has split the show up so that the curious leave satisfied with fun new information, and the hard core science guys get the blast they are looking for. His two tiered approach makes the science very accessible, and is an incredible organizational approach. I'm also amazed by his ability to speak clearly and consistently about the topics for so long with just a few minor tangents. Really like listening, even if it gets too... more

  • Death never sounded so good.

Great podcast voice. Material is presented in an engaging and relatable way. You come away smarter with each episode. The only way this could be better is if we were actually in a lab with white coats and beakers while learning!
