  • Been going off the rails more often

Heaton has been having more guests and more often that don’t seem to know what they are talking about and are not worth listening to. If this keeps up I will unsubscribe. There are too many podcasts to listen to already.

The invited speakers hold wide varieties of views and discussion is aimed to discover facets of belief and policy. Heaton is preternaturally gifted at combining his knowledge and hilarity to present topics in detail yet remain digestible.

  • Fresh heaps of heatonism

HEATONISM. Between this podcast and we’re not wrong, I’ve got everything I need. Andrew is funny, interesting, and endlessly curious about everything. He’s like a better, dandier, and more scientific anti-dote to Joe Rogan. He questions authority without relying on conspiracy theories or manosphere stupidity. He’s what we need in the w... more

Freddie deBoer: What It's Like to Have a Mental Breakdown
Q: What is your perspective on the gentrification of disabilities?
It distorts the conversation about mental health and can overshadow the needs of more severely afflicted individuals.
Freddie deBoer: What It's Like to Have a Mental Breakdown
Q: What advice do you have for people with mental health issues?
See your doctor, take your pills, do your therapy. Being clever about managing your mental health can lead to worse outcomes.
Freddie deBoer: What It's Like to Have a Mental Breakdown
Q: Why write a novel instead of a memoir or a polemical work?
To portray the mundane reality of bipolar disorder without over-dramatizing it and to provide an engaging story that reflects that experience.
Cash for Kidneys
Q: What would you propose to bridge this chasm?
The End Kidney Deaths Act, which would incentivize kidney donations with a $10,000 tax credit for five years.
Cash for Kidneys
Q: Why give your kidney away?
Because there are about 100,000 people on the kidney waitlist in the U.S., most of whom will die without a kidney, and donating a kidney can significantly improve their lives.
