Fascinating discussion. True to the deepest lore, while not turning the lore into a circular firing squad, as is all too common. Well done. Incredibly enjoyable.

  • Excellent resource and great discussions

I love Tolkien, and it’s so refreshing to listen to a pair of Tolkien nerds discuss this rich universe. Not only do they talk about the Rings of Power show, but they also dive deep into Tolkien lore. I learned a lot from this podcast, and I really enjoyed listening. I am not a fan of listening to people complain and tear apart artistic choices or adaptations, so it was an ab... more

They present extremely well and do a good job of explaining pretty much everything in a clear & concise manner.

My main issue is that they love absolutely everything (ok, except Kemen!). They don’t seem to have an issue with anyone or anything, would definitely have Charles E... more

  • THIS is the RoP pod you’ve been looking for!

At last we come to it! A Rings of Power/Tolkien podcast that is fully realised as a discussion between intelligent and discerning people, without the ever grating egotistical narrative of nerd rage from those who’re so eager to demonstrate just how much cleverer than the show they are.

These guys are not only very well versed in the Tolkien legendarium, but do not allow that to get in the way of an emotionally honest, insightful and deep delving exploration of character and story motivation, w... more
