I shared time at LBT with James. I attended LBT from the time I was 1.5 years old until I graduated from the school at the church, then I left. I had, and still have a difficult time dealing with the concept of church as a community, and God as gracious and merciful. This was not modeled for us at this church. James knows who I am. I received honorable mention in his book for driving around in my car listening to what LBT considered the “devil’s music”. James, contact me if you want.

James does a great job talking about his experiences and the experiences of his guests through many challenging situations. The great thing here is I don’t hear bitterness, though it would be easy to be bitter. I hear very fair takes.
