Listening can be tough when Chris is on, because he doesn’t seem to like anything. Instead of fun or thoughtful horror criticism, it comes off as overly negative and kind of pretentious, like nothing is good enough. It sucks the energy out of the conversation.
Sean, on the other hand, is fine—he’s balanced and actually engages with the movies, which helps keep the podcast listenable.
When this was a YouTube only show, it is one of the things that got me through the Covid lockdown. I have been a loyal listener since episode one. These guys are super talented and real. I like listening to them riff on all kinds of topics, mostly related to horror and classic genre media, but you also get to know them.
