I began binging on TITR during Covid and genuinely have a more balanced perspective of the major issues we face today. So grateful!
If you want to hear only voices that you agree with, this podcast is not for you. There are plenty of other echo-chamber podcasts out there.
I listen to this show, the one with a paleontologist with hopes he’d be true to the Bible. I wasn’t surprised that he wasn’t. I was however surprised that the host and the guest mocked God and twisted scripture to fit the narrative. A lot of blasphemy in this episode.
He seems desperate to appear progressive, liberal - anything but conservative. His statements always end with a questioning inflection - as if he’s constantly looking for approval. He’s an annoying host. Doesn’t seem like a very secure or confident person.
I would warn that one has to be careful who you give your platform to. As you said you hadn’t read his book. I did not feel he could answer any challenge questions and his theology was weak. You seemed to accept his premise based on his position rather than scripture reasoning. As you know your platform will be held to a higher standard. I listened to just one podcast and had to stop. If you are pro-Palestine and like podcasts that only present one side of the argument, this podcast is for you. In the episode I listened to, they only spoke about Israeli “bad acts” and criticized Israeli positions without providing any evidence to support what they were saying. “There is an occupation of the WB because everyone says there is” is how this guest supported his statements.
