Everywhere around us are echoes of the past. Those echoes define the boundaries of states and countries, how we pray and how we fight. They determine what money we spend and how we earn it at work, what language we speak and how we raise our children. From Wondery, host Patrick Wyman, PhD (“Fall Of Rome”) helps us understand our world and how it got to be the way it is.

  • Interesting info - shame about the background “music”

This podcast should be one of the most interesting put together, given the research that goes into it.

But the background “music” is incredibly distracting and annoying - it adds nothing to the podcast - rather, it detracts enormously.

I’d like to listen to more of your podcasts but it won’t be happening while the background noise (there - I’ve said it) persists.
