There can be no doubt that Phillip is the perfect replacement for Claire. His voice and intonation can be both serious and entertaining. Past master of the nuance and inflection. His style and quick wit brooks no bull when interviewing. He has that special quality called radio presence. Reminiscent of Pat Kenny in his glory days.
I am disgusted how RTE now parrots Israeli propaganda, RTE now complicit in genocide, no doubt RTE are afraid of the litigious Zionist entity but tell the truth and report the facts without saying “Hamas run health department”, is Ireland’s healthcare system the “FG/FF run health system”.
The people are boycotting RTE now more like the BBC who are censoring documentaries showing the horror of genocide in Gaza.
Shame on RTE, more afraid of Israeli litigants than proper reporting.
Claire needs to work on her pronunciation. She may be a farmer’s daughter but we don’t want her to sound like one when presenting RTE’s flagship show. I am continually unimpressed with the banality of Irish politicians but apart from that it’s a great show with qualified reportage from around the world.
Claire consistently covers international affairs really well, which is really important. Keep up the good work.
