You took a ONE MONTH break with ZERO explanation on any of your many social accounts for the pause, even while posting to your website daily. Promises completely unfulfilled. You’ll continue to lose followers because you “need a break.” This is your JOB. Post every week. Your excuse “We don’t know what to say! We’re worried how we’ll come off during this time in history!” is boring hand wringing. You’re a pop culture podcast. Distract us from the horrors around us. And do it WEEKLY. And MANY peo... more
I have been a fan (“Bitter Kitten”) of Tom and Lorenzo’s since as early as their recaps and costume studies of Madmen on their website.
For 8 years or so I’ve been a devout listener of the pod, even enjoying their recaps of shows and movies I have no intention of watching. In fact, their reviews saved me from watching ‘And Just Like That’, which I might have, had they not been so damning in their criticism!
I’m coming to review the PSO now, unfortunately, because of a long, slow change of min... more
Long time fan here: (love the site, bought the books, and am a faithful listener to the pod). In this crazy world where there is too much going on, I come to your pod to escape the news. With that said, in your roster of things to talk about, I appreciate that you ended the Jan 20th podcast (about Renee Good and A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms) with something that you liked or at least something positive. It’s a small thing, but it counters all the negativity out there. Keep up the good work!
Discovered your pod during lockdowns in Australia.
We didn’t have it as bad here as so many other countries, but we all still needed to find little ways to save our sanity.
Still love listening to you both (& your take on everything culture, Christmas cookie & cat-related) - both of you have much to contribute. Bless you both, you’re both treasures. Thank you 💕
I gave Tom & Lorenzo’s podcast a good run after reading their pop culture blog, but it was time to unsubscribe. They only seem happy when talking about their cats or travel adventures. The rest of the time? Pretty much any topic is consumed by negativity and analysis that dwells on all the things they hate about people or acting or media. It has become so rare they are talking about anything they are truly passionate about, and I don’t need that level of vitriol as a part of my weekly routine.
