  • Great podcast but spoiled by misogyny

Really great podcast but the regular misogynistic tone which is threaded throughout the episodes is not ok. Whether it being the police they bring in for comment who seemingly refuse to acknowledge the female host and only speak to the male host, or the terrible reference to a female BBC journalist who was walking down the street ‘swinging her handbag’ who they say was probably late to court because she was out shopping. Not ok-do better please.

  • A bit of a let down

Finding this podcast so very basic unfortunately . Nothing new to added to cases which have been covered thousands of times. You could do a quick google search yourself on any of these cases and discover more info.

Also, the who thing sound’s completely rehearsed-not conversational/candid, my guess is it’s read from script. And the information shared, especially in the Myra Hindley episode, I found to be incorrect. A lot of things mentioned about the case were wrong.

    It’s a shame because I mu... more

  • Exceptional podcast

Forensic, thoroughly researched, detailed commentary on some of the most controversial cases in UK legal history. Both journalists are so interesting and bring a wealth of experience and context to the show.

  • Interesting but odd guest

Having a guest (Howard?) say of Myra Hindley that it wouldn’t have done any harm to eventually let her out. What? It isn’t about if she would re-offend. She tortured children. I would seriously question this guy for saying something so incredibly strange & inappropriate. He then called her remarkable. Please don’t have this weirdo on again

  • A Different Take on True Crime

Can’t get enough of this podcast. The hosts complement each other very well, each with their own unique perspectives and personalities. They give both a tidy overview of the particular subject and some in-depth detail, which they deliver in a thoroughly enjoyable package (considering the subject matter). Well done, Helen & Martin. Also, I could listen to Helen talk all day… what a voice.
