There are so many filmmaking podcasts out there these days, but this is the only one I’ve encountered that explores the prospect of making a career in filmmaking sustainable as a lifestyle. It’s not about gear or process or technique, it’s about the often unspoken struggles that make a career in filmmaking so difficult and so rewarding. Incredibly candid conversations from some of the biggest names out there today.
Jon Bregal is an extremely gifted - as a filmmaker, as a podcast host, and as a humanist. He is wise beyond his years and cares deeply about people and ideas. His show is also highly entertaining, whether you’re an insider or not. Highly recommend!

Disappointed by the latest episode. Ask any person who’s worked for Caravan for at least two years - there is a culture of toxicity and abuse there that emanates directly from the top down.
