I’m Waldy – otherwise known as Waldemar Januszczak, art critic of the Sunday Times – and with my co-host Bendor ‘Bendy’ Grosvenor, the celebrated art historian and TV presenter, we’re going to be looking at interesting things that are happening in art during the great lockdown.

I’ve learnt so much from you and really enjoy on getting your expertise direct. It’s very good to be reenergised to see works of art
Absolutely sensational episode about The Ambassadors! More deep dives I loved listening along with the Google app.
Forever grateful to have found this podcast on it’s return to air. Thank goodness it was revived. Being down in Australia, far removed from access to so much of the western world’s famous art works, I love being able to hear about them from two knowledgeable, engaging and personable men. Love the new section, know your saint. Thank you.
I have enjoyed W&B since they started podcasting and admire the breadth of subjects that they cover. I was rather surprised when Bendy mispronounced “clerestory” as cle-re-story, rather than the correct, and descriptive, “clearstory”. If he is wrong in this - what can we believe? 🧐
I will continue to enjoy the discussions even if I don’t agree with everything.
I like both W and A (but why the kiddie nicknames?) so I picked up on James Marriott's recommendation in today's Times. And was not disappointed. Witty, amazingly informed, full of interesting opinions and fresh views. Particularly enjoyed the episode on listeners' questions. Also the fascinating discussion of Mary Magdalen's representation in art.
I will definitely sign up for this podcast.
