  • Was I in a cult?

This podcast is my “go to” every time I am looking for a good listen. I find the hosts have a great chemistry with each other and it is very well edited!! I’ve listened to enough podcasts that were not well done in that regard and it is super irritating. Thanks Liz,

Tyler, and Rob. My only fear is running out of episodes.

  • Thank You So Much

I love the show. You are doing a great service by exposing these groups for what they really are. I personally identify as Christian, but I am blessed to have a mother that always encouraged me to think for myself. She doesn't like that I think life is what it is because this is the version of freedom we asked God for in pre-existence, but her letting me have an open mind and imagination helped me get to where I am today. I appreciate your solid, non-prejudicial, and intelligent approach to the ... more

I love this show! The guests and their vulnerability bring me to tears, but I love the sarcasm and humor (and Rob popping in to make fun of Liz). It’s so real and I love it!

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Allison After NXIVM: “The Monster She Met. The Monster She Became.”
Q: Where is she with Keith today?
She's completely renounced him and feels anger and rage towards him but is still navigating her feelings post-cult.
Allison After NXIVM: “The Monster She Met. The Monster She Became.”
Q: What was her purpose in wanting to share?
She wanted to say it all aloud for herself as she didn't want to be perceived as a pervert, and hoped discussing it once would help answer questions others may have.
[UPDATE] Jehovah’s Witnesses: “Shut Up and Be Blessed”
Q: What would you say to the two girls who knocked on your door many years ago?
Daniel would patiently and kindly try to help them see that the group they're with is not the one true religion and that it's a destructive group.
[BONUS] Amy Duggar King: “Holy Disruptor”
Q: Can you tell us about what happened?
After the first scandal with the daughters and all of that, no one would tell me anything, nobody. The truth was so hard to find and I just realized that if I'm going to need answers, then I'm going to go get them and I just got in my car, didn't think about it for two seconds.
SpaceX—PT1: “It’s About to Get Musky in Here”
Q: Why did you stay at SpaceX despite the challenges?
Paige explains it was a combination of loyalty to the mission, the high salary, and the environment that made her feel part of something meaningful.
