I’ve been listening for yeeeeears now and I probably listen still out of habit. It’s fine for what it is, and does touch on some great notes about the movies they watch. It’s a shame that they’re majorly behind temporarily. It’s mid-November and the newest podcasts were recorded in July/August. That might just be my gripe though.
After reading some of the reviews I get the feeling some of the lower rated reviews are people who probably aren’t very popular because listening to the Who Goes There haomies is like sitting in a conversation of buddies talking life, hobbies and movies with friends and if they don’t feel that vibe then they don’t know what it feels like to have friends which, to me, is like, sad.
Used to be one of my go-to movie podcasts but it’s become a loop of Rhett pounding on the table while snickering at his own jokes. It’s a shame because these guys do have interesting opinions but they need to rein in the monkey on a sugar high energy and chill out on repeating the same joke 5 times an episode. Saying things in a funny voice or mispronouncing things on purpose is the lamest level of humor
I wish the episodes actually had content. Instead of talking about moronic and uninteresting things for the first 3/4 of the episode, they should actually review movies.
A great hangout show. The 3 hosts have distinct voices and bring unique perspectives to the table. Fun, irreverent sometimes moronic but pretty insightful.
