Amazing architecture每個城市當中都有一些奇特的建築，很多人可能都是匆匆一瞥，沒有留下任何印象。本節目主要是請專業建築師帶領大家欣賞國內外特色建築，藉由受訪建築師的聲音引導，讓一般民眾也都能了解這些特色建築的建築語彙，設計風格以及建築師之設計理念，使過去對於這些都會中的特色建築都是看熱鬧的人，也能成為一個懂得看門道的行家

從大橋頭捷運站走到迪化街，首先映入眼簾就是整排連棟式的巴洛克建築，位在迪化街1段348至366號共有10 棟建物號稱「十連棟」， 這是迪化街唯一集體都更改建基地面積最大的建案。 「十連棟」房屋係由當地6大家族結合而成，主要經營五家大型機械碾米廠及一家洋線工廠，當初十棟巴洛克式百年房屋改建新大樓時，仍刻意保留舊屋「立面騎樓」部分建物，加以鋼骨補強整修完成，號稱「十連棟」，與後棟新大樓並立，更顯出這些老屋的珍貴。
迪化街是台北市有名南北貨的集散地，每逢春節更是大家採購年貨的勝地，事實上迪化街上保存下來的一些歷史建築也值得大家不時的去細細品味。這一集節目黃健敏老師要帶大家來迪化街拜訪兩棟特色建築，其一是林五湖祖厝，位在迪化街一段156號，它是迪化街上的第一棟街屋，可說歷史悠久，目前一樓店面是經營茶行，後面則是住家，現在每星期六還開放參觀並且有林家子孫專人導覽。 迪化207博物館的前身是廣和堂藥鋪，建於1962年，在迪化街並不算老，但位於轉角，建築風格獨特，最值得館賞的是它的地板，磨石子工法磨出了好幾幅藝術作... more
