Q: What do you suggest people do to make sure they can show up every day and keep going, especially through that treacherous zone of the muddy middle?

Chris Baty on The Magic of a Goal and a Deadline (JanYourStory Prep)
Q: What advice do you have for people when their fingers get stuck in the mud of their books?
Just sit down and do more writing to regain momentum; sometimes it can be as simple as writing a couple of words to get started again.
Chris Baty on The Magic of a Goal and a Deadline (JanYourStory Prep)
Q: What is your number one tip for success?
It's about time management, which is crucial for writing and finishing a book.
Beth Macy on Writing to Explore Why We’re So Divided
Q: What do you think the solution might be to bridge the divide we've been discussing?
We need to try to engage people with respect, getting to know them on a personal level and not just discussing politics, focusing on shared experiences and values.
Beth Macy on Writing to Explore Why We’re So Divided
Q: Can you comment on how the world supported your journey out of poverty in a way that is so different than what Silas faces?
I graduated from high school in 1982 and got a full Pell Grant that paid for my tuition. Silas doesn't have those same supports today, making his journey significantly harder.
