北京市朝阳区金盏乡皮村位于五环以外，这里生活着许多外来务工人员，其中有不少爱好文学的工友。他们多住在皮村或附近，在城里工作，业余从事写作。皮村文学小组成立于2014年9月21日，是文化志愿者与喜欢文学的新工人共同创造的文学交流空间，涌现出一大批基层作家。
