盧政鋒回應表示，川習會實際上確立了2026年雙方將分別主辦APEC與G20的合作默契，且習近平打破慣例主動致電，雙方敲定川普將於2026年4月訪中。因此盧政鋒認為，明年的中美關係，上半年，兩國會透過彼此單邊或是雙邊進行戰略競爭，下半年後則是會進入國際的多邊政策。關於台灣部分，川普曾另外提及台灣就是台灣，所以在會後中美雙方的新聞稿都未提及台灣。
