  • Quick Summaries of Battles

This podcast is informative and entertaining, but the summaries of battles are short and the hosts aren’t historians with any real knowledge of the subject. I do listen to some of their podcasts, but this pod isn’t for serious students of the Civil War.

  • No Thanks

I came late to this show. I’ve been a civil war buff for almost 40 years. These guys don’t really know much of the subject matter they’re discussing. They’re simply reading from Wikipedia pages for their information, which they could have pulled off, except for the fact they are on a 4th grade reading level. Add in the unnecessary accents and silly voice inflections, it becomes brutal to endure. Look elsewhere if you’re interested in a serious podcast on the subject.

  • Easy listen

Easy listening, like their style, love that you can hear them lighting up and taking a drag or opening a can, I tune the same sounds out very easy so voices turn in to Charlie browns teacher after a few minutes but the noises in the background help break that.

  • Poor quality. Suspect history

I admire trying to do history in a relaxed, conversational way. But this one is just bad.
