  • Esoteric horror explored with elan

Recently discovered this podcast listening to co-host Joshua Conkel as a guest on the (also great) Midnight Mass podcast. Have been devouring the back catalogue of shows for a few weeks now. Joshua and Drusilla are great hosts with a nice fire and ice dynamic, strong opinions I don’t always agree with, but argued with passion and with a distinct and interesting point of view. A real alternative to bro-horror podcasts obsessed with gore and kills at the expense of all else.

  • It's incredible to me that this podcast is not only free, but ad-free. Definitely the best movie podcast I've ever listened to, but also one of my all time favorite podcasts in general. Movie recommendations? I've found so, so many great movies that I otherwise never would have - and that's in addition to the ones they actually review! 500 characters isn't enough to do them justice, so if you love movies (and *not* just arthouse horror) do yourself a favor and check out this podcast.

  • These 2 hosts are the cutest and sweetest of all time!

I don’t respect many people’s opinions on the internet but Josh and Dru are a different story. They’re both so knowledgeable when it comes to arthouse, film, horror, and so many other things. They’re the reason I got a Letterboxd account. If you’re a horror fan, this is a must listen. I love that they don’t really spoil the movie a lot or at all in some cases so you can listen even if you haven’t seen the film they’re talking about. I hope this pod goes on forever because it’s one of the very fe... more

  • Horror served stylishly

I’ve discovered (and rediscovered) so many wonderful obscure horror films thanks to this pod. Joshua and Drusilla provide thoughtful critique and insightful commentary on releases old and new. Informed, queer, fun and the right amount of edge to keep things interesting.
