I have been listening to BGH for close to ten years now. I really appreciated the effort they made to make the hosts more diverse after #MeToo, and the show definitely improved when they added more women and LGBTQ guests. I am just begging you all to stop covering BIPOC horror if you aren’t going to bring on people from those communities to balance out uninformed opinions. Their takes on Sinners during the end of year show made it clear that they didn’t even bother to read or listen to any other... more
The reviews and content are excellent but the main host Eric interrupts his co hosts and speaks over them like it’s his hydrant to piss on. It’s infuriating and prevents me from being able to listen. I’ve witnessed some of the other hosts just give up and question what they are doing on the show. Eric if you read this, your co hosts are too nice to say anything to your face because how domineering you can be.
I keep returning to this podcast, giving another listen, hoping for a different outcome. Insanity? Sure.
I really enjoy the end of the year episodes where everyone lists their top ten.
Rachel is definitely the shining light of the podcast. She is articulate, does her research, and brings a depth and compassion to the discussion.

I reviewed and rated this podcast 15 years ago, and I’m still happily listening and enjoying each week. Over the years, there have been people come and go, but fresh voices and opinions are always welcome to add to the core OG crew of Eric, Schnaars, and Casey. It’s clear that all the crew genuinely enjoys making the podcast and knows what they’re talking about, which makes it a fun and interesting listen. It’s an awesome horror podcast.
Can Eric stop interrupting the other hosts? Plus can the other hosts actually do SOME research on the films they’re reviewing?
