England's most capped men love rugby. Ben Youngs is a scrum-half so he’s spent most of his 127 games chatting away to team-mates, opposition and referees. His mate Dan Cole is still in the England squad, and has cult hero status thanks to his no-nonsense approach to most of life’s events. They’ve spent 20 years together at Leicester Tigers, toured together for the British and Irish Lions, and now ... more

  • Good balance/insight

Listen to a lot of rugby podcasts but this is becoming one of my favourites. Enjoy the way Ben and Dan provide smart insight without trying to be comedians. I enjoy bit banter but some other podcasts filled with inane public school boy humour by guys who aren’t as funny or interesting as they think they are taking over each other. Though there is good banter and the hosts have charisma on these podcasts it’s well balanced with smart insight. Don’t change a thing guys. Certainly filled gap in th... more

  • Andy Farrell interview

This was the third podcast interview with Andy Farrell I listened to on the same day, but was definitely the best of them. The way Youngs interacted with him l, seemed to put Farrell at ease and made for a much more interesting and detailed show. I enjoy the “banter” on other shows but keep coming back to FTLOR for the rugby analysis as well as the stories.

  • #1 rugby podcast now

Coley and Young’s content is quality and timing is great. They always have a podcast at the right time, for example right after big games and then a few days after too. Quality chat and content, all about the rugby with a bit of banter. It shows they put a shift in, put the pod first and for me as a result of that are now the number 1 rugby podcast. Keep up the good work gents.

Easy Route for England & Irish Quarter Curse? Rugby World Cup 2027 Draw Reaction
Q: Do you think Rassi might throw a group game so that South Africa basically finish second in their group and move to the easier side of the draw away from New Zealand and France?
I don't think Rassi would throw it; he doesn't need to because the results and performances are strong enough for them.
Easy Route for England & Irish Quarter Curse? Rugby World Cup 2027 Draw Reaction
Q: Will teams organise harder warm up games to counter easier pool stage games?
I don't think teams will organise harder warm up games. Teams will probably play a couple of games in the UK before flying out to Australia.
The Big Champions Cup Preview ft. Manu Tuilagi, Jamie George & Hugo Keenan
Q: Hugo, how's the injury, mate? How you come along?
It's alright. So I would have gotten surgery the week after our Lions tour. So I was sort of hanging on by a thread by that stage.
England's Toughest Challenge & Player of the Year Controversy
Q: Who do you think needs a big game from the squad that's out there this weekend?
Slade will want to show his worth this weekend, especially after being on the peripheries for the first three games.
England beat physical Fiji, Springboks 14-man comeback & Scotland's latest shot at history
Q: What does England need to improve on before their next match against New Zealand?
England needs to enhance their ability to score back-to-back and maintain clinical exits from their half after scoring.
