    The Child Life on Call podcast has been an amazing way to gain perspective both as a toddler Dad and a bioinformatics researcher. Hearing the journeys of some many courageous patients and families shared in such a caring and sensitive way provides so much inspiration and context. I've also recently started volunteering with Child Life Services at my local hospital and this podcast is a great reminder of how much is going on under the surface of each interaction. We kind of did it step-by-step, sort of need to know basis. When he had to be at an appointment, especially that one at BC Children's, we really prepared him and focused on why we were going and what we needed to do to keep him healthy.
