I’ve just binged the whole thing from start to finish. It was highly addictive and I was caught hook, line and sinker. It was worth a month’s subscription for this podcast alone. I can highly recommend.
What a great podcast… Absolutely gripping. Well acted, well written. Thought the actor playing the detective was a particular stand out.
The only thing worse than 50%+ of the episode length being ads, is all the ads being awful American ads, some of which are illegal in your country (eg., Botox for chronic headaches). The show would be fine but don't bother unless you're an idiot who pays for it on the Wondery app.
Started off really interesting, but such a long wait between episodes, and about 50 episodes in, it feels like they ran out of material so there’s not much ground being covered. So you wait a week to hear an episode repeating the same thing over and over. Had a lot of potential, good storyline and acting but am too bored to finish the series.
Starts great, grows tiresome. Tessa begins badgering the interviewees to the point of bad cop TV tropes. Perhaps it’s the writers’ way of showing she is growing weary of this long distance investigation, but it comes off as grating and against the character she’d built up since the beginning. Perhaps it’s just a personal peeve, but the show’s losing my interest as it continues. A real shame. Still a stellar job by the cast, including Tessa’s actor.
