  • Too many interviews

The podcast started out strong, but has since devolved into just an interview show. Some have been interesting, but most seem to be with B and C list background figures that a vaguely remember seeing listed in random credit boxes.

  • Comprehensive American comic history

A fantastic comics podcast, very comprehensive listening to the history of creators and the publishers they work for, straight from the creators themselves. Recent enjoyable highlights include the three part episode with Tom DeFalco. A great deep dive back through the archives reveals more gems such as Tim Sale, Mark Chiarello, Mike Royer, Jim Steranko, Howard Chaykin and Trina Robbins. Highly recommended. Keep up the great work.

Jerry Ordway Power Hour Interview by Alex Grand & Filippo Marzo
Q: Can you tell us about like your overall development, the environment of DC as it changed, and you going from artist to more of a writer artist, and then working with guys like Roy Thomas and Marv Wolfman?
Ordway started in 1980, amidst DC looking for new talent. His experience there evolved, particularly while working on 'All-Star Squadron' and co-creating 'Infinity Inc.' The changing environment allowed artists to become writers too, leading to his eventual role as a writer-artist on projects like 'Superman.'
