I’m a loyal fan of 19th century literature and I was eager to listen to this novel. Unfortunately I could not get beyond chapter 4, as I did not like the style of the narration. I found it too flat and lacking the energy required to convey the eccentric ladies’ voices. The made it difficult to differentiate between characters and follow the narrative.
